20 June - Great Kills Harbor to Liberty Landing

High easterly winds forecasted for tomorrow so we decided to move the boat early to Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey just north of the Statue of Liberty. Trina, Elizabeth, and Hartley join tomorrow to start trip up the Hudson River.

Before we departed we did a walk in Great Kills National Park. It used to be a park with ball fields and golf. Then a plane detected some radiation. Now only select trails are open. There has been an environmental project in place to fix it for years but the locals say nothing has happened. Too bad, very nice area!

Also met with Joanne's relatives for a great Italian lunch!

Then on to New York City (really Jersey City, Liberty Landing Marina)
