25 and 26 May - Passau and Munich

Final blog for this trip. Thanks to all who followed us!
Last day started like the first with a hike...this one thru the Bavarian Forest near Passau, Germany. It was very different from northern Italy but very, very pretty!
Then went on a Bavarian Culinary tour...Joanne even liked the beer (with a pretzel)! The last picture shows the flood levels of the Danube over the centuries.
At the Hilton Munich Airport for the night. Fly home tomorrow!
A couple of AAR (After Action Review) points for those considering hikes, cities, cruises in Europe.
Our travel agents....recommend all of them...Italy hiking: Girosle Tours, City Tours: Travelive, River Cruises: Uniworld. Let me know if you want any specific recommendations.
Trains: if you have a lot of luggage and need to transfer they will be tough. Trains are mostly efficient and easy to find but with a month of luggage....never again!
Plan days of with no scheduled tours.
